Are you an experienced SEN practitioner ready to take on a leadership role? Our outstanding SEN school in Islington is looking for a Deputy SENCo to support the coordination and delivery of SEN provision. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic team, ensuring that every student receives the tailored support they need to thrive.

Role Overview:

As Deputy SENCo, you will work closely with the SENCo to deliver high-quality provision for students with diverse needs. You’ll play a key role in managing support plans, liaising with staff and families, and championing inclusion across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the SENCo in developing and implementing the school’s SEN strategy.
• Coordinate and monitor the progress of students with SEN, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place.
• Contribute to the creation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Provide advice, guidance, and training to teaching staff on SEN strategies.
• Build strong relationships with students, families, and external agencies.
• Support the SENCo in administrative tasks and ensuring compliance with SEN regulations.

• A teaching qualification with SEN experience or additional qualifications.
• Strong understanding of SEN provision and best practices.
• Experience working with children with a range of additional needs.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
