Role Overview:

As a Science Teacher, you will:

Teaching and Curriculum:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach A-Level for the right candidate.
  • Develop and refine curriculum materials in alignment with school goals, national standards, and the specific needs of students.

Student Progress:

  • Regularly assess and track student progress, offering constructive feedback that supports both academic and personal growth.
  • Use data from assessments to inform teaching practices, identify learning gaps, and provide individualized support to ensure every student reaches their full potential.

Professional Development:

  • Engage in reflective practice to continually improve teaching and learning, contributing to the development of the Science department and the school as a whole.
  • Participate in the wider school community, supporting extracurricular activities, school events, and initiatives that enrich students' overall experience.

Candidate Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Science-related subject (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or a related discipline (desirable).

Experience:

  • Experience teaching Science at secondary school level, with a solid understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly encouraged to apply.
