Role Overview:

As an Art Teacher, you will deliver a bespoke art curriculum that encourages self-expression and confidence. You will use art as a medium to help students develop fine motor skills, emotional regulation, and a sense of achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver creative and engaging art lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with autism and other SEND.
• Use a variety of mediums and techniques to encourage self-expression and skill development.
• Work collaboratively with the SENCO, therapists, and support staff to provide holistic support to students.
• Celebrate student achievements through exhibitions and displays of their work.
• Monitor student progress and adapt lesson plans to ensure they meet individual targets.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in art or a related subject.
• Experience teaching students with SEND, particularly autism or complex needs.
