Are you a dedicated Science Teacher with a passion for inspiring students with special educational needs (SEND)? Our specialist SEN school in Lambeth is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Science Teacher to join our committed team.

Role Overview:

As the SEN Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging, practical, and differentiated Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will adapt your teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and inspire curiosity, exploration, and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver creative Science lessons tailored to the needs of SEND students.
• Differentiate teaching materials to ensure accessibility for students of varying abilities.
• Incorporate sensory and practical activities to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families to implement EHCPs and learning plans.
• Assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting lesson plans accordingly.
• Foster an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere that nurtures student confidence.
• Support students’ social, emotional, and communication development through Science-based activities.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Science, preferably in an SEN or alternative provision setting.
• Strong knowledge of SEND strategies and inclusive teaching practices.
• A patient, flexible, and creative approach to teaching.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
