Role Overview:

As a Religious Studies Teacher, you will:

• Teaching and Curriculum:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Religious Studies lessons to students up to GCSE level, with the opportunity to teach A-Level for the right candidate.
  • Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet school objectives and national standards, ensuring excellence in teaching and learning.

• Student Progress:

  • Assess and track student progress regularly, providing insightful feedback to support both academic and personal development.
  • Utilize assessment data to inform teaching practices, address learning gaps, and offer targeted support to ensure every student reaches their full potential.

• Professional Development:

  • Engage in reflective practice and contribute to the continuous development of the Religious Studies department and school as a whole.
  • Participate actively in the school community, supporting extracurricular activities, school events, and initiatives that enrich the student experience.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related discipline (desirable).

• Experience:

  • Experience teaching Religious Studies at secondary school level, with a comprehensive understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are strongly encouraged to apply.
