Role Overview:
As a Religious Studies Teacher, you will:
Teaching and Curriculum:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Religious Studies lessons to students up to GCSE level, with the opportunity to teach A-Level for the right candidate.
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet school objectives and national standards, ensuring excellence in teaching and learning.
Student Progress:
- Assess and track student progress regularly, providing insightful feedback to support both academic and personal development.
- Utilize assessment data to inform teaching practices, address learning gaps, and offer targeted support to ensure every student reaches their full potential.
Professional Development:
- Engage in reflective practice and contribute to the continuous development of the Religious Studies department and school as a whole.
- Participate actively in the school community, supporting extracurricular activities, school events, and initiatives that enrich the student experience.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related discipline (desirable).
Experience:
- Experience teaching Religious Studies at secondary school level, with a comprehensive understanding of the national curriculum.
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are strongly encouraged to apply.
