Role Overview:

As an English Teacher, you will:

• Teaching and Curriculum:

  • Deliver inspiring and high-quality English lessons to students up to GCSE, with the opportunity to teach A-Level for the right candidate.
  • Develop and adapt curriculum materials in alignment with school goals and national standards.

• Student Progress:

  • Regularly assess student progress, providing meaningful feedback that fosters academic development and achievement.
  • Use data from assessments to inform teaching, close learning gaps, and provide tailored support to meet the needs of all students.

• Professional Development:

  • Engage in reflective practice and contribute to the school's continuous improvement plan.
  • Participate in the wider school community by supporting school events, extracurricular activities, and community initiatives.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in English or a related discipline (desirable).

• Experience:

  • Experience teaching English in secondary schools, with a deep understanding of the English national curriculum.
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly encouraged to apply.
