About the Role
As a KS4 Class Teacher, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team, working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists to deliver a tailored curriculum that meets the individual needs of students. You will provide high-quality, inclusive education in a nurturing environment, fostering independence and confidence among students.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that are differentiated to meet the needs of students with a range of learning difficulties.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to ensure the specific needs of each student are met.
- Monitor and track the progress of students, providing feedback and making adjustments to teaching strategies as needed.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and builds self-confidence.
- Collaborate with the wider team, including support staff and external professionals, to implement tailored interventions and strategies.
- Support students in developing their academic, social, and life skills in line with their individual capabilities.
About You
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching KS4 students, ideally within a specialist or SEN setting.
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of SEN and the ability to differentiate lessons for diverse learning needs.
- Possesses excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive environment.
- Is dedicated to fostering a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere that enables students to thrive academically and personally.
- Is willing to undertake ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
