Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs in their academic and personal development? Our primary school in Southwark is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with teachers and students, providing individual and small group support to create an inclusive learning environment.
Role Overview:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons to students with SEND, ensuring that all children can fully access the curriculum and receive the support they need to succeed. Your role will also involve supporting students’ social and emotional development in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Support students with their social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued.
- Monitor and record students' progress, reporting back to the class teacher and SENCo.
