Role Overview:
As an Art Teacher, you will deliver exciting and engaging lessons to students with SEND, enabling them to explore and express themselves through various artistic mediums. You will create a safe, inclusive environment where students feel confident in their creativity and are encouraged to develop new skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver art lessons that are tailored to the individual learning needs of students with SEND.
- Encourage creativity and provide individualized support to ensure students achieve their artistic potential.
- Collaborate with other staff members to integrate art into the broader curriculum and foster interdisciplinary learning.
- Track student progress and provide regular feedback on their development.
- Create a positive, nurturing environment that supports emotional and social development through creative expression.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching art, preferably in a SEND context.
- A passion for creativity and the arts, and the ability to share this with students.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teaching.
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine desire to support students with additional needs.
