Are you an experienced SEN professional eager to step into a leadership role? Our thriving secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dynamic Deputy SENCo to help lead and develop exceptional SEND provision.
Your Role:
As Deputy SENCo, you will support the SENCo in coordinating the school’s SEND strategies, working with staff, families, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Provide training and support to teachers on effective SEN strategies.
- Assist in managing statutory assessments and EHCP reviews.
- Monitor the impact of interventions and ensure compliance with SEND legislation.
- Act as a point of contact for families, offering guidance and support.
- Promote an inclusive ethos across the school.
What We’re Looking For:
- QTS and extensive experience in SEND teaching.
- Proven leadership skills, ideally with experience as a SENCo or deputy.
- In-depth knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for promoting inclusion and excellence for all learners.
