Role Overview:

As an LSA, you will provide invaluable support to students across the school, particularly those with additional learning needs. Working under the guidance of class teachers, you will help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that all students can thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons to students of various abilities, including those with special educational needs.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support, helping to build students’ confidence and engagement.
• Foster a nurturing and positive classroom atmosphere where students feel supported and encouraged.
• Help with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
• Monitor student progress, providing feedback and working with teachers to adapt strategies to meet students’ needs.
• Supervise students during playtime, lunchtime, and other activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school.
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s education and well-being.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• A proactive, empathetic, and flexible approach to meeting individual student needs.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices and a commitment to promoting students' welfare.
