English Teacher Required - Secondary School in Wandsworth

A well-established secondary school in the vibrant borough of Wandsworth is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in January 2025.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that are aligned with the national curriculum and the school's high expectations for student achievement.
• Creating a positive and stimulating learning environment that fosters a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking.
• Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing differentiated learning strategies to cater to the needs of all learners.
• Contributing to the development and enrichment of the English curriculum.
• Collaborating effectively with colleagues and participating in departmental and whole-school initiatives.

The Successful Candidate will have:

• A degree in English or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• A strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English language and literature.
• Proven ability to effectively manage a classroom and create a positive learning environment.
