Role Overview:

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will play a key role in supporting the class teacher to deliver high-quality lessons, providing effective assistance to students across the school. You will work with individuals and small groups, implementing targeted interventions, and ensuring that all students have the support they need to access the curriculum effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support, particularly for students with additional learning needs.
• Lead small group sessions and targeted interventions.
• Assist in the implementation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring additional support.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
• Supervise classroom activities, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school, with HLTA experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students.
• A proactive, supportive approach to working with students of varying needs.
• A passion for supporting children’s academic and personal growth.
