About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and personalized English lessons to students with varying learning needs. You will work collaboratively with a team of specialists to provide individualized support that ensures each student reaches their fullest potential in a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons for students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to track and support student progress.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages self-expression and confidence.
- Support the development of students' literacy, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
- Work closely with Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and other specialists to deliver holistic support to students.
- Contribute to the school’s SEN provision by collaborating with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure effective support.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a genuine passion for teaching English.
- Experience working with students with SEN is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of SEN strategies and the ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
- A patient, proactive, and positive attitude toward teaching.
- A strong commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
