Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Hounslow, West London
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Our primary school in Hounslow is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide support for students with additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities. This role offers the chance to be part of an inclusive school where every child is valued and supported to succeed.
Role Overview:
In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to provide tailored support for students with a range of needs. You will be responsible for supporting students both in the classroom and during individual or small group interventions. Additionally, you will assist with managing classroom behavior and supporting students' social and emotional development to ensure they feel confident and ready to engage with their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN, helping them engage with the curriculum and classroom activities.
- Assist with implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and learning interventions.
- Work closely with the class teacher to adapt lessons and activities to meet the needs of students with SEN.
- Provide support with personal care when required.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment, promoting positive behavior and student engagement.
- Help students develop social and emotional skills, enabling them to interact positively with peers and adults.

- Experience supporting students with SEN, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and speech and language difficulties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, teachers, and parents.
