SEN Teaching Assistant – Specialist School in Bexley

We are excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a dedicated and empathetic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team at a specialist school in Bexley. Role Overview

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to support students with a variety of learning needs, helping them fully engage with their education and develop important life skills. Working closely with teachers and other professionals, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that every student gets the individualized support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in delivering customized lessons to help students access the curriculum effectively.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Contribute to creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other specialists to implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Track student progress, providing valuable feedback to teachers and other professionals.
  • Assist in organizing classroom resources and setting up learning materials for lessons.
