Are you a committed and creative teacher passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? Our highly regarded SEN school in Camberwell is seeking a KS2 Class Teacher to join our dedicated and dynamic team. About the Role:

As a KS2 Class Teacher at our specialist school, you will provide engaging and tailored lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with SEND. You will play a central role in fostering independence, confidence, and academic growth, ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver differentiated lessons that accommodate a variety of SEN needs within the KS2 curriculum.
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to develop and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods to support each child’s development.
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and personal growth in line with the school’s values.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and well-being.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching KS2 students, particularly in an SEN or specialist school setting.
  • A strong understanding of SEND and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • A creative and flexible approach to teaching, with the ability to engage and inspire children with varying needs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
  • A dedication to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all students.
