Year 1/2 Teacher Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons for Year 1/2 students.
  • Inspire a love for learning through interactive and inclusive teaching approaches.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable goals.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop a dynamic and engaging curriculum.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, sharing updates on progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Year 1/2 Teacher Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 1, with a strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Passion for professional development and innovative teaching practices.
  • The ability to inspire and nurture young learners.
