Role Overview:

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Teaching and Curriculum:

  • Delivering high-quality English lessons to students up to GCSE, with the potential to teach A-Level for the right candidate.
  • Developing and refining curriculum materials that meet the school's goals and national standards.

• Student Progress:

  • Regularly assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support academic growth and achievement.
  • Using assessment data to identify learning gaps and inform teaching strategies, ensuring all students receive the support they need.

• Professional Development:

  • Engaging in reflective practice and self-evaluation to continuously improve your teaching methods.
  • Contributing to the wider school community by participating in school events, extracurricular activities, and community initiatives.

Candidate Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in English or a related discipline (desirable).

• Experience:

  • Experience teaching English in secondary schools, with a strong knowledge of the English national curriculum.
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.
