Role Overview:
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for:
Teaching and Curriculum:
- Delivering high-quality English lessons to students up to GCSE, with the potential to teach A-Level for the right candidate.
- Developing and refining curriculum materials that meet the school's goals and national standards.
Student Progress:
- Regularly assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support academic growth and achievement.
- Using assessment data to identify learning gaps and inform teaching strategies, ensuring all students receive the support they need.
Professional Development:
- Engaging in reflective practice and self-evaluation to continuously improve your teaching methods.
- Contributing to the wider school community by participating in school events, extracurricular activities, and community initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A Bachelor’s degree in English or a related discipline (desirable).
Experience:
- Experience teaching English in secondary schools, with a strong knowledge of the English national curriculum.
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.
