Role Overview:
As an SEN Teacher, you will work with students who have a variety of special educational needs, creating individualized learning experiences that foster growth and independence. You will collaborate with a skilled and supportive team to ensure every child thrives both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with families and colleagues.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support.
- Monitor student progress, adapting strategies to ensure consistent development.
- Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports well-being and learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents to update them on student achievements and areas of growth.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in a primary school, ideally with a focus on SEN.
- Strong understanding of SEND strategies and the ability to adapt teaching methods.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- A patient, creative, and empathetic approach to teaching.
