The Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our supportive and dynamic English department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English Language and Literature across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level, with a focus on creating an inclusive, engaging, and positive classroom atmosphere. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level, delivering high-quality lessons that engage and inspire students
  • Develop lesson plans that are accessible and inclusive, tailoring teaching methods to the needs and abilities of all students
  • Provide constructive feedback and support, helping students improve their academic performance and build confidence in their abilities
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities such as drama productions, book clubs, and writing workshops
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and develop a strong, supportive English curriculum
  • Foster a caring and inclusive environment, offering mentorship and guidance to students

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified teacher with a degree in English or a related subject
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching English Language and Literature at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level
  • A passion for inspiring students and helping them develop both academically and personally
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive and positive learning environment
