History Teacher Required - Kingston Secondary School
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging and informative lessons that are aligned with the national curriculum and the school's educational philosophy.
- Creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing differentiated learning strategies to cater to diverse learning needs.
- Collaborating with colleagues within the Humanities department to develop and enhance the curriculum and share best practices.
- Contributing to the school's extra-curricular program through activities such as history clubs or trips.
The Successful Candidate will have:
- A degree in History or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- A strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 History curriculum.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for history.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
