Physical Education (PE) Teacher Required - Secondary School in Lambeth - January 2025 Start
A thriving secondary school in the diverse and vibrant borough of Lambeth is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join their successful department. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in January 2025.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching PE across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons that meet the requirements of the national curriculum and inspire students to develop their physical literacy, health, and well-being.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
- Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing differentiated learning strategies to cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Delivering a broad and balanced PE curriculum, including a variety of sports and physical activities.
- Contributing to the school's extra-curricular sports programme and promoting healthy lifestyles.
The Successful Candidate will have:
- A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- A strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Physical Education curriculum.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for sports and physical activity.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills, and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
