Our specialist school in Islington is looking for an SEN Maths Teacher to deliver engaging and tailored lessons that support students with SEND to develop their mathematical understanding and skills.

Role Overview:

As an SEN Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a learning environment where all students can thrive, using innovative teaching strategies to break down complex concepts into accessible steps. Your work will help students build both their academic and personal confidence, supporting them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated maths lessons for students with SEND, using a range of resources and approaches.
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with colleagues and parents.
• Regularly assess and track student progress, adjusting lessons to ensure all students are making continuous improvements.
• Provide individual and small group support to students as needed.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.

What We’re Looking For:

• QTS and experience teaching maths, ideally in an SEN setting.
• Strong knowledge of SEND and the ability to differentiate teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• A patient and creative approach to teaching.
