About the School:

This Ofsted 'Good' School is dedicated to providing a well-rounded education, fostering both academic achievement and personal growth. With a supportive and collaborative environment, the school places a strong emphasis on languages and their importance in developing cultural awareness and communication skills. We are currently seeking a passionate Spanish Teacher to join our team and contribute to our vibrant and dynamic Modern Foreign Languages department. The role is available from January, and we welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging Spanish lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach A-Level Spanish for the right candidate.
• Develop and implement curriculum materials that align with the national standards and encourage a deep understanding of the Spanish language and culture.
• Regularly assess student progress, offering constructive feedback to support their learning and academic development.
• Use assessment data to adapt your teaching and support students who may need additional assistance.
• Actively participate in the MFL department meetings, contributing ideas and resources to enhance the overall language learning experience.
• Contribute to school life through extracurricular activities and other initiatives to support students’ language learning outside the classroom.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching Spanish in secondary schools.
• Strong knowledge of the Spanish language curriculum.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Modern Languages, or a related field (desirable).
• A passion for teaching and an ability to inspire students to love learning a foreign language.
