About the Role
As a KS3 Class Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering tailored education to students with diverse learning needs. Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals, you will foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with varying learning difficulties.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to address each student’s specific goals and challenges.
- Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
- Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes student confidence, participation, and independence.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including support staff and external specialists, to deliver effective interventions.
- Support students in developing essential academic, social, and life skills aligned with their abilities.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching KS3 students, preferably within a SEN or specialist school setting.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of SEN and is adept at differentiating lessons for diverse learning needs.
- Possesses excellent communication and teamwork skills to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom.
- Is committed to continuous professional development and is enthusiastic about embracing new teaching strategies.
- Exhibits creativity, patience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
