Year 1/2 Teacher Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for Year 1/2 students.
  • Foster a love for learning through creative and interactive teaching approaches.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting development goals.
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and positive behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop an engaging and inclusive curriculum.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents/guardians to share progress and address any concerns.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in events, meetings, and professional development.

Year 1/2 Teacher Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 1 students, with a strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Enthusiasm for professional development and implementing innovative teaching practices.
  • The ability to engage and inspire young learners.
