The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate English Teacher to join our team in February 2025. Whether you are an experienced educator or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this role offers an exciting opportunity to teach English across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with the potential to teach A-Level depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, ensuring the curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of all students.
- Develop dynamic and stimulating lesson plans using a range of resources and teaching methods that make English accessible and engaging.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement.
- Encourage critical thinking by exploring complex texts, themes, and ideas, fostering a love for reading and writing.
- Incorporate current events and real-world applications into lessons, helping students make connections between their studies and the world around them.
- Support students in developing their writing, communication, and analytical skills, preparing them for academic challenges and beyond.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the English department to share best practices, enhance cross-curricular learning, and improve student outcomes.
- Contribute to the school’s co-curricular program by organizing activities such as book clubs, drama productions, and writing competitions.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior, ensuring compliance with school policies.
- Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment that promotes respect, cooperation, and personal growth.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching English in secondary schools.
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment practices.
- A degree in English, English Literature, or a related subject (desirable).
- A passion for teaching English and inspiring students to develop a love for literature and language.
