About the Role

As a Maths teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the unique needs of students with SEN. Working collaboratively with a skilled and supportive team, you will create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student can excel academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver creative, high-quality Maths lessons, adapting content to suit the individual needs of students.
• Modify the curriculum to support students with varying learning, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to monitor progress and ensure students meet their potential.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to create a holistic, inclusive learning environment.
• Use diverse teaching methods and strategies to build students’ confidence and understanding in Maths.
• Establish a classroom atmosphere that promotes positive behaviour, safety, respect, and engagement.

Key Requirements:

• A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum, with experience teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4.
• Experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly those with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to teaching and supporting diverse learning needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and enhancing the learning experience for SEN students.
