Role Overview:

As an LSA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with varying learning needs, ensuring they can fully access the curriculum and feel empowered to succeed. Working closely with the teaching team, you will help foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups, focusing on those with additional learning needs.
  • Assist teachers in preparing resources and materials for lessons.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, helping to build their confidence and engagement.
  • Monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to the teacher and collaborating on strategies to support learning.
  • Encourage a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom atmosphere.
  • Support students during breaks, lunchtimes, and school activities to promote their social development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s education and well-being.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and staff.
  • A proactive, empathetic, and flexible approach to meeting individual needs.
  • Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities in a school setting.
