We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our thriving secondary school in Brent. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to support students across different subjects, ensuring that they receive the best possible support throughout their academic journey.

Role Overview:

As an HLTA, you will work closely with teachers to provide high-quality, tailored support to students, ensuring that those with additional needs are able to access the curriculum effectively. Your role will be integral in boosting student engagement and progress, both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist class teachers in delivering engaging lessons to a diverse group of students.
• Lead small group interventions, focusing on students with additional learning needs or those requiring additional support.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
• Create an inclusive and motivating classroom environment, promoting positive behaviour and learning.
• Support students with specific needs such as behavioural or learning difficulties, ensuring they can participate fully in school activities.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA, preferably in a secondary school.
• Knowledge and understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and families.
• A proactive and flexible approach to working with students of all abilities.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive, safe, and supportive school environment.
