The Role:
As a Design & Technology Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love of design, creativity, and practical skills.
- Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and the school's commitment to providing a well-rounded education.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and technologies (CAD/CAM, 3D printing, etc.) to cater to diverse learning styles and inspire students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and differentiated support.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Design & Technology department to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.
- Create a positive and stimulating learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their creativity and develop essential skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Design & Technology or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- A strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Design & Technology curriculum.
- Experience teaching a range of D&T specialisms (e.g., resistant materials, textiles, product design, graphics).
