Role Overview:

As a Science Teacher, you will:

Teaching and Curriculum:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality science lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level for the right candidate.
  • Develop and refine curriculum materials that align with national standards and school goals, ensuring that lessons inspire and challenge students.

Student Progress:

  • Regularly assess student progress, providing meaningful feedback that encourages academic and personal development.
  • Use data from assessments to inform teaching practices, address learning gaps, and ensure all students are supported to reach their full potential.

Professional Development:

  • Engage in reflective practice to continually improve your teaching and contribute to the development of the Science department.
  • Participate in the broader school community, supporting extracurricular activities and school events, helping to create a vibrant learning environment.

Candidate Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A degree in a Science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related fields).
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly encouraged to apply.

Experience:

  • Experience teaching Science at secondary school level, with a sound understanding of the national curriculum.
  • A passion for inspiring students and supporting their academic and personal growth.
