Role Overview:
As a Science Teacher, you will:
Teaching and Curriculum:
- Deliver high-quality and engaging Science lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, with the potential to teach A-Level for the right candidate.
- Adapt and create curriculum materials to ensure they meet school objectives and national standards, inspiring curiosity and a love for science.
Student Progress:
- Regularly assess student progress, offering meaningful feedback that helps them achieve their full potential.
- Use data from assessments to identify learning gaps and adapt your teaching strategies to meet the needs of all students.
Professional Development:
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Science department, sharing ideas and collaborating with colleagues to continuously improve teaching practices.
- Participate in the wider school community, supporting extracurricular activities, school events, and community initiatives that enrich the student experience.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A degree in a Science-related field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related areas).
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
Experience:
- Experience teaching Science in secondary schools, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
- A passion for teaching Science and a commitment to fostering both academic excellence and personal growth in students.
