Are you a talented textiles teacher with a passion for design and craftsmanship? We are seeking a part-time textiles teacher to join our school in Sandwell, starting January 2025. As a part-time textiles teacher, you will work with KS3 and KS4 students to inspire creativity and technical skills in fabric design and production, with the opportunity to teach KS5 students as well.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging textiles lessons to KS3 and KS4 students as a part-time textiles teacher.
• Inspire and challenge KS5 students by teaching them more complex design concepts and techniques.
• Monitor and assess student progress in textiles, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills as a part-time textiles teacher.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the textiles curriculum and bring innovative ideas to the role as a part-time textiles teacher.
• Encourage students to express themselves through fabric design, nurturing their creativity as a part-time textiles teacher.
• Stay updated on trends in textiles education and incorporate new techniques into your lessons as a part-time textiles teacher.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A degree in Textiles, Design Technology, or a related subject.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience as a textiles teacher at the secondary level.
• A passion for inspiring students to explore design and creativity.
