Business Studies Teacher Required - Secondary School in Lambeth - January 2025 Start

A forward-thinking secondary school in the diverse borough of Lambeth is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Business Studies Teacher to join their thriving Business and Economics department. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in January 2025.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5. Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the requirements of the national curriculum and inspire students to develop a strong understanding of business principles, concepts, and practices.
• Creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and an appreciation for the role of business in the modern world.
• Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing differentiated learning strategies to cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
• Utilizing a variety of teaching resources, including case studies, real-world examples, and business simulations, to enhance students' learning experiences.
• Collaborating with colleagues within the Business and Economics department to develop and enhance the curriculum, share best practices, and contribute to the school's commitment to providing a well-rounded education.

The Successful Candidate will have:

• A degree in Business Studies, Economics, or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• A strong understanding of the KS4 and KS5 Business Studies curriculum.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for business education.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
