Are you a dedicated Maths teacher with experience working with students who have special educational needs? Our secondary school in Tower Hamlets is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled SEN Maths Teacher to help support students with diverse needs and ensure they achieve their full potential in Mathematics.
Role Overview:
As an SEN Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering differentiated Maths lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEND. You will work closely with the SENCo and other professionals to provide the best possible educational experience for all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess Maths lessons for students with SEND in line with the National Curriculum.
- Differentiate learning activities to ensure that all students can access and engage with the content.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching methods where necessary.
- Collaborate with the SENCo, teaching assistants, and other professionals to provide tailored support for students.
- Encourage and inspire students to develop a love of Maths and achieve their academic goals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Mathematics.
- Experience teaching Maths to students with SEND in a secondary school setting.
- A strong understanding of how to differentiate lessons for students with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A passion for supporting students to achieve their best in Maths.
