Are you an experienced and empathetic SEN Teacher with a desire to make a positive impact on students’ lives? Our friendly primary school in Camden is looking for a compassionate and dedicated teacher to support children with special educational needs (SEN).

Role Overview:

As a SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering personalized learning to students with a range of SEND, adapting the curriculum to meet individual needs. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that every student has access to an engaging and enriching education, helping them develop the skills they need for future success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students with a variety of SEND.
• Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to implement individualized strategies and interventions.
• Assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching methods to ensure maximum engagement and development.
• Develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, therapists, and support staff.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to reach their full potential.
• Provide regular updates to parents on student progress, wellbeing, and achievements.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience working with children with special educational needs in a primary school setting.
• A deep understanding of SEND strategies and a creative approach to teaching.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• A compassionate, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting children’s needs.
