The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our forward-thinking team, starting in April 2025 or earlier. This is an exciting opportunity to teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with the potential to teach A-Level depending on experience. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), you will be part of a supportive and collaborative team where your creativity and ideas will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, dynamic English lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, covering both language and literature in an inspiring way.
- Develop creative lesson plans that incorporate modern teaching techniques and resources, designed to engage students and spark their interest in English.
- Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students improve and succeed.
- Encourage critical thinking, analysis, and creativity in students’ written and spoken work.
- Integrate real-world applications and discussions into lessons, helping students understand the relevance of English studies in the world around them.
- Support students in developing their writing, reading, speaking, and listening skills, fostering a love for literature and effective communication.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the department to share best practices, innovate teaching approaches, and ensure a cohesive and enriching learning experience.
- Contribute to the school’s co-curricular program, organizing clubs, workshops, and enrichment activities that further enhance students’ learning and passion for English.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour, and attendance, in line with school policies.
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, creativity, and personal growth.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching English Language and/or Literature at secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum, with the ability to deliver lessons using innovative and engaging methods.
- A degree in English, English Literature, or a related subject (desirable).
- A passion for inspiring students and helping them develop their creativity and communication skills.
- A commitment to fostering a supportive, student-centered learning environment.
