Role Overview:

As an SEN English Teacher, you will create an inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive. Your role will involve delivering differentiated English lessons, focusing on reading, writing, and communication skills, while also monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments to help students achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver differentiated English lessons, ensuring that each student’s individual learning needs are met.
• Create a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation.
• Track student progress, using formative and summative assessments to evaluate their skills and adjust teaching methods.
• Work closely with support staff and parents to ensure students receive the appropriate interventions.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages all students to build confidence in their English skills.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching English, preferably in an SEN setting.
• A strong understanding of SEND and how to differentiate lessons for a diverse range of needs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching English to students with SEND.
