The Role:

As a PE Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5, promoting physical literacy, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles.
  • Create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students feel confident to develop their skills and participate in a wide range of sports and activities.
  • Coach and mentor students, helping them to reach their full potential in individual and team sports.
  • Plan and deliver extracurricular sports programs, including competitive teams and recreational activities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and differentiated support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the PE department to enhance the curriculum, share best practices, and contribute to the school's sporting achievements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A strong understanding of the KS3, KS4, and (ideally) KS5 Physical Education curriculum.
  • Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting.
  • A passion for sports and a commitment to promoting physical activity and healthy living.
