The Role:

As a Chemistry Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and intellectually stimulating lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5, fostering a love of chemistry and developing students' understanding of the building blocks of matter.
• Create a dynamic and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to explore chemical concepts, conduct experiments, and engage in scientific inquiry.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources, including laboratory experiments, demonstrations, technology, and real-world applications, to bring chemistry to life.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and differentiated support to ensure each student reaches their full potential.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the Science department to enhance the curriculum, share best practices, and contribute to the school's commitment to scientific exploration.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• A strong understanding of the KS3, KS4, and (ideally) KS5 Chemistry curriculum.
• Experience teaching Chemistry in a secondary school setting.
