Position: Maths Teacher

We are seeking a talented and motivated Maths Teacher to join our high-achieving and friendly secondary school in Colchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Maths to students at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, preparing them for their GCSE exams, and nurturing a love of mathematics. The ability to engage students in a subject that some find challenging is essential, as well as the skill to deliver creative and motivating lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Maths at Key Stage 3 and 4, with a focus on exam preparation
• Develop engaging and differentiated lesson plans to meet the needs of all students
• Assess student performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance
• Use data to track and monitor progress and identify areas for improvement
• Foster an environment of enthusiasm for Maths through creative teaching methods
• Take part in the wider school community, contributing to extracurricular activities

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Maths at secondary school level
• A passion for Maths and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support school-wide initiatives
