We are an Ofsted 'Good' rated school, known for our supportive and inclusive learning environment, and we are seeking a dedicated Religious Studies Teacher to join our team starting in January 2025. Role Overview:
As a Religious Studies Teacher, you will:
Teaching and Curriculum:
- Deliver engaging Religious Studies lessons to students up to GCSE level, with the potential to teach A-Level for the right candidate.
- Develop, plan, and adapt curriculum materials that align with school objectives and national standards.
Student Progress:
- Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
- Use data from assessments to inform teaching, close learning gaps, and offer individualized support to meet student needs.
Professional Development:
- Engage in self-reflection and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the department and school.
- Participate in wider school life by supporting extracurricular activities, school events, and community initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related discipline (desirable).
Experience:
- Experience teaching Religious Studies in secondary schools, with a solid understanding of the national curriculum.
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
