Are you a passionate Science Teacher with experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Our secondary school in Islington is seeking a dedicated SEN Science Teacher to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to students with a variety of learning needs.

Role Overview:

As an SEN Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver science lessons tailored to students with SEND. Your role will involve making science accessible and exciting, supporting students’ academic growth while fostering their confidence and curiosity in the subject.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging science lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEND.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to ensure lessons are accessible and stimulating.
• Monitor student progress, providing tailored support to encourage engagement and achievement.
• Work with support staff to implement individualized interventions and ensure students’ needs are met.
• Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports the development of social and academic skills.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Science.
• Experience teaching science in a secondary school, ideally within a SEND context.
• A creative approach to teaching, with the ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• A passion for science education and supporting students to reach their full potential.
