The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Psychology Teacher to join our vibrant team in April 2025 or earlier. Whether you are an experienced educator or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this role provides an exciting opportunity to teach Psychology across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with the potential to teach A-Level depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Psychology lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, ensuring the curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of all students.
- Develop dynamic lesson plans using a variety of resources and teaching methods to make Psychology both accessible and stimulating.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure continuous academic improvement.
- Encourage critical thinking by engaging students with complex psychological concepts, theories, and studies, while fostering an understanding of how psychology applies to everyday life.
- Integrate current events and real-world applications into lessons, helping students connect their learning with the world around them.
- Support students in developing key skills, including research, analysis, and evaluation, preparing them for both academic and life challenges.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Humanities department to share best practices, enhance cross-curricular learning, and support student outcomes.
- Contribute to the co-curricular program by organizing psychology-related activities such as clubs, workshops, and guest speakers.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour, and attendance, ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, cooperation, and personal growth.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching Psychology in secondary schools.
- Strong knowledge of the Psychology curriculum and assessment practices.
- A degree in Psychology or a related subject (desirable).
- A passion for teaching Psychology and inspiring students to develop a love for the subject.
