An 'Outstanding' Ofsted-rated secondary school in Croydon is seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Drama Teacher to join their thriving Performing Arts department. The Role:

As a Drama Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and imaginative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love of drama, theatre, and performance.
  • Create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore their creativity, develop their acting abilities, and build confidence.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and dramatic techniques, including improvisation, script work, and physical theatre, to inspire students.
  • Direct and produce school productions, providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents and experience the magic of theatre.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and differentiated support to ensure each student reaches their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Performing Arts department to enhance the curriculum, share best practices, and contribute to the school's vibrant arts culture.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Drama curriculum.
  • Experience teaching Drama in a secondary school setting.
