Spanish Teacher Required - Secondary School in Wandsworth
A dynamic secondary school in the diverse borough of Wandsworth is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Spanish Teacher. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in January 2025.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Planning and delivering engaging and interactive lessons that inspire students to develop their language skills and cultural understanding.
- Creating a supportive and communicative classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence in using the Spanish language.
- Employing a variety of teaching methodologies and resources, including authentic materials and technology, to enhance language acquisition and cultural awareness.
- Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing differentiated learning strategies to cater to the needs of all learners.
- Contributing to the development and enrichment of the Spanish curriculum and participating in departmental and whole-school initiatives.
The Successful Candidate will have:
- A degree in Spanish or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- A strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Spanish curriculum.
- Native or near-native fluency in Spanish.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A passion for language education and a commitment to fostering students' linguistic competence and cultural understanding.
