Our Shropshire school is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Textiles Teacher to join the team part-time starting January 2025. In this role, you will teach Textiles to students at KS3 and KS4, helping them explore design, fabric manipulation, and garment creation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach engaging Textiles lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, encouraging exploration and creativity in fabric design.
• Provide guidance to KS5 students, helping them refine their skills in more complex textile techniques.
• Assess student progress, offering constructive feedback to help improve skills.
• Collaborate with the Textiles department to develop and enhance curriculum offerings.
• Integrate current trends and materials into lessons to keep them fresh and exciting.
• Foster a creative environment where students feel inspired to innovate.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Textiles, Design, or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching Textiles in secondary education.
• A passion for design and helping students realise their creative potential.
