The Role:
As a Humanities Teacher specializing in History and Geography, you will:
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a range of historical periods and geographical topics.
- Create a dynamic and interactive learning environment where students can explore different cultures, analyze historical events, and understand the complexities of our planet.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources, including maps, timelines, primary sources, fieldwork, and technology, to bring learning to life.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and differentiated support to ensure every student reaches their full potential.
- Contribute to the department's success by collaborating with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum, share best practices, and organize enriching extracurricular activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in History, Geography, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- A strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 History and Geography curricula.
- Experience teaching both History and Geography at the secondary level.
